As time goes by it amazes me all of the cool little bells and whistles that some strollers have. I cant believe how fast my boys are growing up! D is going to be a year old in less than 3 weeks......it seems like he was just born. My sweet boy is crawling like a crazy man and working on walking and talking. Monkey is mostly potty trained and is so smart. He knows his whole alphabet and recognizes all of the letters! I always knew that my boys loved water, but this summer we have swam almost consistently every day since it has been so darn hot (110 degrees!!!) and Monkey is getting so comfortable with the water. To save my sanity I have always loved toys that have no batteries, flashing lights, carnival sounding music, or annoying high pitched voices. Reading has always been a daily ritual in our house. Monkey LOVES to read and is always bringing me books to read to him. I love that he loves to read because it is such a great way of learning and expanding his abilities. Every day at naptime and bedtime we HAVE to read stories.....lots and lots of stories :) He is starting to be able to "read" some of his stories and learning some of the colors

I have always been cheap when it comes to buying clothes....especially maternity clothes that I am only going to get to wear for about 7 months every few years. I am all about places like TJmaxx that have nice clothes at a great price but their selection is sometimes quite limited in the maternity section. When I was pregnant there was no way that I was going to walk around with oversized clothes

When I was little I spent my summers and winters rebelling against wearing any sort of footwear besides flipflops (I grew up in New Mexico so it didnt get very cold in the winter time.) But low and behold I had to grow up and move to a place where it gets down in the single digits almost on a daily basis in the winter time.
