    If you are looking for a place to buy a sling for your little one, Baby in Fish Bowl is the place to go.  She has a great selection of fabrics, patterns, and styles.     When my son was born I was sort of baby sling illiterate. We didn't buy a baby carrier until he was a few months old, and then it was one of those front carriers that you get at Wal-Mart that isn't the most comfortable and the baby gets swallowed in the bottom until it is older. I didn't really realize what I was missing until I actually started looking for a good comfortable sling. There are so many great options out there that I had no clue about!

I choose to review a ring sling for the adjustability and convenience that it brings. It is easy to get on and off, and is great for those short trips into the store when you don't want to have to get a cart. It also fits great into a diaper bag for on the go. he ring slings can be used from newborn to toddler age (Approx 5 lbs-35 lbs.)  All of her slings are made with aluminum welded rings (that come in different colors) specially made for baby carriers. These rings have been safety tested for up to 250 lbs.

There are also many different ways to to use a ring sling. You can do:

• Tummy to Tummy
• Kangaroo hold (facing outward)
• Hip Hold
• Back Hold (for older toddler age children)
  
• You can also use the sling for discrete nursing
  

 COMFORT: As with most ring slings they are more comfortable with lighter/younger children. They are also best for short trips into the store or simply carrying your baby into a friends house. This style does do a good job of distributing the baby's weight and also keeping your little one up close and snug by your side. Ring slings are made to keep your baby right at your hip as if you were holding them with your arm.....they just do all of the work for you. My son currently weighs 26 lbs and this sling worked great for us. I never had it dig into my shoulder or get uncomfortable. I now use my ring sling every time I go to a store that doesn't have carts, when I go to the gym and have to carry the diaper bag, my purse and work out bag, and my son, or going to the library. It is awesome because i don't have to "hold" him, the sling does all of the work for me.

Fabrics Used: 
I received the Cotton ring sling in black with a green print contrast tail on the end. Slings are also available in Linen, Sateen, and Twill, as well as in combinations for reversible slings with a minky reverse option/add-on.  If you are not looking for a specially made sling she does have already made slings that you can order off of her web site.

I will try to get a picture taken soon of me carrying my son in the sling. I haven't had a chance to take one yet.
