Have you ever dreamed of a true one size diaper? There are so many cloth diaper companies out there that claim their diapers fit from birth to potty training, but they really only start fitting when your baby is about a month old because newborns are so tiny....and then when you get to potty training they only fit skinny baby's up to complete potty training age.  Tot Wraps are in a select group of diapers that I have tried that will actually work for a 6lb newborn all the way to potty training (35+lbs).

Krysta over at Tot Wraps was generous enough to send us a blue Tot Wraps Dream Diaper for us to review. When I got the diaper in the mail I was absolutely amazed how small it actually gets. Here is a picture of the diaper on its smallest/biggest size:

After we got the diaper all prepped and ready to review I stuck it on my Monkey Man. It fits him great with plenty of growing room to spare. The waist elastic is very stretchy so that it stays tight whatever size baby is wearing the diaper. The legs and waist are nice and snug with no gaping....but not so snug that it leaves nasty red marks on his legs.  Lets just say that Monkey put the diaper through "the test of the runs." He has had funky poo recently and the diaper definitely did its job keeping all of the mess inside and didn't leak a bit.

One thing that I love about the diaper is that the inserts are made to agitate out in the wash. So for nasty poo filled diapers (like we have now) you don't have to stick your fingers down inside the pocket and pull out the insert for washing like most other diapers. Just throw it in with your other dirty diapers in the wash and when it comes out the diaper and inserts are separate and both are squeaky clean.

For normal every day use you don't even need to use the added insert in your diaper. It has enough built in absorbency that an insert is not needed. The inner soaker part of the diaper is made out of Zorb and holds up to 11 oz. of liquid, it handles an average toddler-sized mess without having to add any doublers or inserts. For naps, overnight, or trips you just stick in the insert and it adds up to 7 ounces of absorbency to the diaper.  The Dream Diaper Insert is also made from Zorb, sandwiched with cotton, and topped on one side with a stay-dry layer.  So with the normal 11oz absorbency diaper and 7oz absorbency insert you have a combined absorbency of 18 oz. That is some kind of absorbency!!

Pocket Opening: The diaper has a large interior pocket opening that allows you to easily increase absorbency. The insert will agitate out in the wash, so there is no need to un-stuff the diaper before washing. The pocket opening also ensures a thorough cleaning and shortens drying time to about an hour.

When I started cloth diapering back  in 2000, I had my dream diaper envisioned in my head. I wanted an all-in-one type diaper that fit all sizes.  But, what was available then and even now never fit my idea of the perfect diaper.

Everything I saw either had complicated snap systems, bulky fold-overs, long dry times, were not all-in-ones, only really fit when the child wore a medium, or were a pocket that always had to be stuffed.
