****ThinkBaby Bowl and Cup Review & GIVEAWAY****

As a parent we always have to be careful what we let out kids get into and play with. We also have to be careful what we let them eat and drink out of. More and more things keep popping up that are in kids products that are harmful and dangerous to our precious little ones. One of the biggest things that we have to watch out for in plastic children's eating and drinking products is BPA (or Bisphenol A).

BPA is a harmful petrochemical that has been linked to reproductive abnormalities and an increased risk of certain cancers, diabetes, and heart disease. Exposure to BPA can also harm a growing child's system, mainly because of the hormone-disrupting properties of the chemical. Up until a year or so ago it was found in MANY childrens (and adult) products. It was found in a variety of products, including items such as pacifiers, teething toys, water bottles, dishes and utensils, sippy cups, and even baby bottles.

 

Now that people are learning more and more about these harmful chemicals, companies are starting to come out with BPA free products that are so much safer for our children. ThinkBaby is a WONDERFUL company that sells everything from baby bottles, to feeding sets, water bottles, and sippy cups.......that are all BPA free. They are also free of phthalates, nitrosamines, Melamine, lead and PVC.

 

ThinkBaby was wonderful enough to send us the blue cup and bowl set to test out with my Monkey man. The bowl is perfect for storing your child's uneaten food or for bring food or snacks out on the go. It fits in the diaper bag and has never leaked. The lid on the bowl snaps on tightly and keeps the food where it is supposed to be. It is elegantly designed to work for soups, cereal, and much much more. They are nice and deep so a child learning to eat on their own doesn't spill their food as easily, but it is easily for them to get to their food. The interior of the bowl is made out of food-grade stainless steel with a polypropylene exterior. 

The bowl comes in either orange or blue and comes with a matching lid. It is dish washer safe (on the top rack), holds up to 10 ounces of food, and measures 10 1/2 inches across. ThinkBaby Separates are perfect for feeding and food storage, and fit just as well in a diaper bag as they do inside an older child’s lunchbox.

The ThinkBaby cup is also made out of food-grade stainless steel with a polypropylene exterior. The polypropylene also helps to insulate the contents of the cup (always make sure that you test the temperature of whatever you feed your toddler so that they don't get burned!). The cup is also dishwasher safe like the bowl, just make sure to put it on the top rack. (neither the bowl or the cup are microwave safe though) The handle is molded perfectly to fit a small hand just right. The ThinkBaby Separates Cup is very similar to an adult mug, with its open top and large side handle. The cup is designed to be used when a child outgrows the use of a sippy cup. Monkey has yet to figure out how to use a cup that doesn't have a lid on it.....it usually turns into a big mess. But i know that as soon as he figures it out he will love his cup.
