***BABY BLESSINGS-Miracle Blanket Review & GIVEAWAY***

Ever since Baby D was born I have loved trying out all of the different kinds of swaddle blankets that we have.  There are so many different kinds of swaddling blankets out there and some just work better than others. Some have zippers or velcro and others are simpler and just have a long flap of fabric for wrapping. One of the very first swaddling blankets that we tried out was the Miracle Blanket.  Baby D absolutely LOVES being swaddled and calms down almost instantly when he is wrapped up nice and tight.  It took me a little bit to figure the Miracle Blanket out because I forgot to read the instruction booklet before going to the hospital, but after I figured it out I was in love! It keeps my little man wrapped up tight and secure and there is no way that he can startle himself awake or get out of it. It really is a miracle and a life saver and has given me the gift of sleep......well as much sleep as I can get with a newborn! With having to wake up every 2-3 hours to nurse a baby during the night I don't need to be waking up to re-swaddle him too! 

The Miracle Blanket is 100% guaranteed to ease your fussy baby, it helps them sleep better on their back, helps soothe colic, prevents those nasty scratches to their face that some of the velcro or zippered swaddlers tend to give, and is the world’s most pediatrician-recommended swaddling blanket. Another thing that I have noticed is that the Miracle blanket helps TONS with nursing. Baby D is a big time wiggler and sometimes it is hard to get him to latch on when his arms are free and he isn't wrapped up. All that I have to do is wrap him up in the Miracle Blanket and he will latch on instantly! He calms down right away as soon as he is wrapped up.

The last thing that I love about the Miracle Blanket is that I can change Baby D's diaper without totally unwrapping him and waking him up. The leg pocket can be pulled down for easy access to the diaper and his arms can stay wrapped up tight. 

Here is how it works (instructions taken from Miracle Blanket website):

Step One:
Lay the blanket on a flat surface with the foot pouch at the bottom and lay baby between arm flaps with tops of shoulders slightly above top of blanket.

Step Two:
Fold the arm flaps over the outside of your baby’s arms and tuck them snugly under her back on each side. IMPORTANT: You should lift the baby’s bottom to be sure the arm flaps are flat and snug under baby’s back.

Step Three: 
Pull the foot pocket up over the feet. NOTE: Some babies’ feet may not reach the foot pocket yet. This is okay: It will be there for them as they grow.

Step Four:
Fold the right side of the blanket over your baby’s belly and tuck it under the left arm pit (her right). This flap should wrap all the way under the baby’s back.

Step Five:
Wrap the left side of the blanket over the top of her belly and all the way around her until you run out of blanket. This is where it is important to pull the blanket snug. THE BLANKET MUST BE PULLED SNUG.
