***Baby Blessings-Rumparooz G2 Diaper Review & Giveaway-Happy Baby Co.***

The thing that I love about reviewing products is finding great new stores. I am excited to tell you about the store that I am reviewing today! Happy Baby Company is a wonderful online store, located in Pittsburgh, that carries everything from cloth diapers, to baby carriers, toys, all kinds of baby care items, and much much more. They offer a wide variety of items to meet whatever need you have.  I especially love the huge selection of cloth diapers that they have. They offer a huge variety of great diapers and even have some great solutions on their site for nighttime diapering and even have a newborn diapering section which I think is very handy so that I can know which ones will work well with Baby D. 

A HUGE benefit to ordering from Happy Baby Co is that they offer FREE shipping on any order to all US addresses! I LOVE it when companies offer free shipping to their store! At least from my experience, people tend to shop at places that offer free shipping more than other stores that are going to charge you $9 for shipping a $10 item.  


They also have some great cloth diaper washing instructions for those newby cloth diaper parents out there. If you are not sure what to do or how it all works......just go HERE and they have so great washing instructions for you. I know that when I first started out with cloth I didn't have a clue! Simple laid out instructions are such a help

OUR REVIEW:

Adam at Happy Baby Company was kind enough to give us a Rumparooz G2 One-Size Pocket Diaper in lazy lime for review!! I am in LOVE with this diaper!  Rumparooz are on the top of my list for my all time favorite diapers! They have the cutest prints ever!! (Have you seen their new Robotronics print?!? I want one so bad!!)  From the minute that I received this diaper, even before we used it, I could tell that it was awesome quality. The double gussets hold in messes like none other and the fit is perfect on Baby D.

The PUL on Rumparooz diapers is the nicest that I have ever felt on a cloth diaper. It is tougher feeling than many other brands that we have tried and holds up very well over time!  The Rumparooz Snaps/Velcro are also tougher than other brands and the hypo-allergenic, no-pill, micro-chamois inner material is nicer quality.

Pocket Opening: 

The pocket opening on the Rumparooz is in the back of the diaper and is plenty large enough for easily stuffing inserts in.   I love how it also has a flap of fabric that folds over the inserts on the back of the diaper to help the inserts stay in place and also to help catch messes in the back of the diaper!

1 Newborn/Booster...snaps onto the full size insert

The inserts are made from 5 layers of microfiber and are one of the most absorbent microfiber inserts available on the market.  They are very adjustable and absorbent. You can easily customize them to fit a newborn.....but then change them to fit a toddler within seconds. When using this diaper on Baby D I only use the newborn insert in it and it works great! I can then un-snap the sizing snaps and stick in both of the included inserts and use the same diaper (of course after it is cleaned :) on Monkey.

He just got shots so that is why he has bandaids on :( 

 Rise: 

The rise is very adjustable. It is one of the very few diapers that fits Baby D WELL right now. Most of the other OS diapers that we own are still too big for him. The diaper has 4 snap heights (compared to most other OS diapers that only have 3)  to make them smaller/larger. I have heard some people say that they have too low of a rise in the back of the diaper, but they fit Monkey just fine and we haven't had any plumbers crack issues. The rise is of course just fine on Baby D because he is still tiny. It is not too high, but not too low.

Sizing:

Rumparooz diapers are awesome because they are specifically made to perfectly fit a newborn baby. Since they have the extra snap setting to make the diaper smaller you can use them from the second your baby is born. They will get small enough to fit a 6.5lb baby but still fit on a 35lb toddler. They are everything you will need to cloth diaper from birth to potty training. Baby D is now 12 lbs and is on the second snap setting. It fits him very well in the waist as well as the legs and rise. We haven't had one bit of trouble with our Rumparooz diapers.

Snaps or Velcro:  

You can get all Rumparooz diapers in snap or Velcro closure. My favorites are the ones with snaps just because they seem to hold up longer, but the Velcro ones that we own have held up great too.  The snaps and Velcro are high quality and meant too last a long time.....they are also toddler proof (so far.) I haven't had any trouble with Monkey being able to take them off by himself.

Price: 

These diaper do run a bit on the pricey side of things, but I do think that you get what you pay for. There have been a few times that I have bought cheaper diapers thinking that they would work as well as some of my other favorites and I have regretted my decision at times.  You really do get what you pay for and these diapers are definitely worth the price that you pay. They are amazing quality and will last a LONG time! They run for $23.50 each for the solid colors and $25.50 each for the prints.

My favorite feature on the Rumparooz diapers is the double gussets. As we all know newborn poops are just a little bit.....well......messy. With some of D's other diapers that just have one gusset we have had leaks and blowouts, but with the double gussets on the Rumparooz all poops stay inside of the diaper......most of it within the first gusset. And lets just say that he has put it to the test many times.

The scooped-out contoured shape of the inner, double-gusset area channels each leg, creating a sort of "pocket" to hold messes in place and protect from baby blow-outs.
