***Kolcraft Contours Options 3-Wheeler Stroller Review & GIVEAWAY!!!***

Now that summer is upon us and we are able to go outside after being cooped up all winter I am so ready for some fun in the sun!! Having two little munchkins makes going out and about a little more complicated and a good stroller is a MUST for me!! The stroller that I had been using was one that didn't have the option of snapping a car seat in so that made it a lot more complicated for when D is sleeping.

I was SOOO excited when I heard that I was going to get to review the Contours Options 3-Wheeled Stroller in their brand new print (Berkeley).  The minute that the stroller came to my door I got it out of the box and put it together. I am always impressed when I open boxes from Kolcraft because they are packed so well so that nothing gets damaged. The stroller was packed tightly into the box and didn't have any excess room to flop around and get damaged. All of the loose parts were packed tightly in the box and wrapped in bubble wrap or Styrofoam. 

My husband was busy working on our house when the stroller arrived so I put it together myself.  It was very easy to put together and the directions were very easily understandable. From start to finish it took about 20 minutes to put it together.

Seat Arrangements

My favorite aspect of this stroller is all of the different options that it has for seating! You can have the seat facing forward, backward, use the car seat attachment, or you could just have no seat at all and use the bottom compartment for storage.  The seats are very easily removable with the touch of a button on. Each side of the seat has a red button and when you press them both at the same time and lift up the seat comes right off. They are SO simple to change around and anyone can figure out how to do it. It takes mere seconds to change the seat from forward facing to rear or from the infant seat to the stroller seat when Monkey wants to ride. 

Car Seat Attachment

I love that you can use this stroller with your car seat. With a toddler and a baby still in an infant seat it is so nice to be able to have D in his seat while in the stroller and be able to chase Monkey around. I have never liked the big bulky travel systems so this is the perfect way to compromise. You can un-snap the stroller seat and have the car seat attachment snapped into the stroller in less than 15 seconds (if that). There are MANY car seats that are compatible with this stroller. Just go HERE and click on specs to find out if yours is. We are using the Safety 1st OnBoard Air complete infant car seat and it fits into the attachment great. (Our seat also matches the stroller perfectly which is really nice!)

Reclining Seat

I absolutely LOVE this feature. All of the other strollers that we have tried say that they have "reclining seats" but they have nothing on this stroller! You can recline the seats on the Contours options strollers almost all of the way flat and the foot rest also folds flat so that your kiddo can lay all of the way down. It is inevitable that when we go out and about and D is in the stroller he will always fall asleep. There is nothing more frustrating than having a stroller that doesn't recline far enough for a baby to actually sleep comfortably. In this stroller D can actually fall asleep laying flat and be nice and comfy. I also don't have to worry about loosing pacifiers or toys out of the side of the stroller when he is laying down because it reclines so far back.

Cup Holders For Parents And Kids

Cup Holders are a must in ANY stroller. It is so frustrating not having anywhere to put your drink, your kiddos sippy cup/bottle, or even just a place to put your keys. It is so nice for Monkey to be able to have his cup close by so that I don't have to keep handing it to him or to have D's bottle accessible so that I don't have to dig for it when he is hungry.  Monkey LOVES being able to have his own cup holder right next to him. What he actually uses it for the most is snacks. It is a great place that is close by to put snacks that isnt going to get lost.

These cup holders are also really nice because they have slits in the bottom of them to let water that collects drip out of the bottom that so that it doesn't just pool up and get things wet. There is also a center compartment that is great for keys, cell phone, wallet, or anything that you want to keep close by.

Wheels & Turning

The thing that I love the most about three wheeled strollers is the fact that you can turn the stroller so easily and quickly. The ride is very smooth and it rolls great on all kinds of different surfaces. It has a swiveling wheel on the front so that it can basically turn on a dime.  The front wheel of the stroller also has a lock on it so that it doesn't turn when you don't want it too. We used it the other night going downtown by the river and I felt very comfortable with how well the wheel locks work.

Adjustable Canopy

The stroller seat has an awesome canopy that is plenty big enough to keep the sun out of your kiddos eyes whether they are big or small,  while still allowing them to see what is going on around them. It also has a 5-Position adjusting system so that you can use the stroller for smaller/bigger kids and still have the sun blocked from their eyes. We have used the stroller many times for Monkey and for D and when you adjust it up and down I can keep sun out of both of their faces.  The canopy can easily and quickly be adjusted up and down and can be changed in a second or two. The seat also has a "peek-a-boo" window so that you can see your kiddo at all times.

Storage Basket

 The storage basket is nice and large and easy to get into. It is easier to access things when you are using the car seat attachment because it is up higher, but you can very easily get to all of your things with the stroller sear attached. I am able to fit our big diaper bag, my purse, and drinks into the bottom and still be able to get to everything.

The only problem that I have had with the storage basket is that one or two of the snaps that hold the basket onto the frame have come undone a few times, but they are very easily snapped back onto the frame.

 

All in all I LOVE out new stroller and would recommend it to any Mom that is looking for a new stroller. It has all of the options that I was looking for and more.
