Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers Review and Prize Pack Giveaway

As we all know veggies are VERY hard to get into our little ones tummies. There are some people that just luck out and have kiddos that love veggies......but I deffinately wasnt blessed with kids like that. I have to basically cut veggies up and sneak them into their food so they can't see them. Before I had kids I always said that I wasnt going to have picky kids. I tried my hardest to give them their veggies so that they would eat them without a fight. Yea, that didn't work. My eldest is VERY stubborn so almost every meal is a fight. He actually loves everything that he eats.....even veggies. It is just getting him to eat them that is the trick.
Thanks to MyBlogSpark and Green Giant I received a Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers prize pack. The package contains 2 Green Giant placemats, a Broccoli stress reliever (which my son LOVES using with his play food), a 32 oz. serving bowl, a surprise face serving spoon, and a coupon to try out Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers.
I was so excited to try them out. When I went to the store I was expecting to just have a few options to choose from, but there was a whole freezer full. There was everything from rice dishes to maccaroni with broccoli, pasta with veggies and alfredo, and tons of other chioces to choose from. I choose the Garden Vegetables Medely. It has red skin baby potatoes, snap peas, and red peppers with an herb sauce. I decided to just cook it in the microwave how the package says too. I never cook in the microwave because it tastes so much better cooked on the stove. I wasnt sure how it was going to turn out just because it was cooked in the microwave. Suprisingly it wasnt too bad. The potatoes were a little bit mushy but the snap peas were cooked perfectly.
Would I buy them again?? Maybe if I needed something quick and healthy I probably would. Deffinately if I found them on sale! If I am just cooking regular probably not, just because fresh is so much better. I would love to recreate the exact same thing just with fresh veggies! It really was easy to make and if you are wanting a quick and healthy meal it is the perfect addition.
