Kolcraft Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller Review & GIVEAWAY!!!

As time goes by it amazes me all of the cool little bells and whistles that some strollers have. I don't really run much (....at all.....)  but love going on walks or rollerblading in the park with the boys. When Monkey was little we got a Baby Jogger jogging stroller. It worked great for us at the time, but we eventually got rid of it because it had basically no storage on the whole thing, didn't have cup holders for the parent or the kid, and the seat didn't lay back at all so it was hard for him to sleep in.  As I have progressed in my "stroller knowledge" I have realized just how much I missed out on in a stroller when I had my first baby.

I am so excited today to bring you the Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller. If you are a jogger or go on a lot of walks in the park this is the jogging stroller for you. It has every extra add-on imaginable(who would have thought that you could actually hook up your MP3 player to your stroller and have it play music through a built-in speaker!)

SHIPPING AND ASSEMBLY 

One of the things that I love about Kolcraft is that their shipping is always super fast and everything is wrapped nice and tight for shipping and gets here in one piece. When I opened the stroller box I was impressed with how well it was packed. The stroller came almost put together in the box and made my life very easy. It was packed very well into the box and didn't have any excess room to flop around and get dented or broken. All of the loose parts were packed tightly in the box and wrapped in bubble wrap or cardboard.  After we got all of the pieces out of the box we got all ready to put the stroller together. My husband did help me "put it together" because he was home.......but really all that was involved in putting it together was putting the wheels on, snapping the cup holders on, and putting the plastic piece that goes over the front plate and maybe one other thing. It was the EASIEST stroller that I have EVER put together! I could have easily put it together all by myself in 10-15 minutes.

SEAT

One thing that can make me  like/not like a stroller very fast is the fabric on the seat. If the fabric is not breathable and my little man gets too hot it makes me not want to use the stroller because they aren't comfortable. The Overland Limited stroller has awesome seats! The fabric is comfortable and very breathable, the are reclining, nice and padded, and have a good quality 5pt harness. The seat reclines to multiple positions to keep your kiddo more comfortable and makes it more versatile for different sized kids.. If you have a little one you will want to have the seat leaning back all of the way so that they don't flop around, but a big kiddo is going to want to sit up and be able to look around. and see things that are going on.

CUP HOLDERS & IPOD/MP3 DOC

Cup Holders are a must have in ANY stroller......jogging, single, double......any kind of stroller.....you MUST have cup holders and storage! It is so frustrating not having anywhere to put your drink, your kiddos sippy cup, or even just your keys. It is so nice for Monkey to be able to have his cup close by so that I don't have to keep handing it to him. He LOVES being able to have his own place to put his cup right next to him.

The stroller also included is the iBABY system. This system makes it to where you can hook up your iPOD/MP3 player to your stroller and listed to music on the go. Sometimes technology can be absolutely amazing. To be able to exercise, listen to music, and still be able to hear my baby all at the same time is wonderful! The iBaby is located in the parent tray between the cup holders so it is very easy to get to and is accessible. If you don't have an MP3 player or are just not using it at the moment the compartment also works great for keys, cell phones, or just for keeping the precious pacifier accessible and safe.

WHEELS & TURNING

The Overland Limited Jogging Stroller is a true jogging stroller....which means that the front wheel is fixed and doesn't turn at all. The reason for that is when you are running is goes straight in a line better and handles better for an easier and safer run. If you are looking for a stroller for everyday use, shopping, or one that is very easy to maneuver I would suggest that you go for a 4 wheeled stroller (or 3-wheeled with a front wheel that isn't fixed.)

I love the fact that this stroller has rubber bicycle tires instead of the cheep plastic ones a lot of other strollers have. It makes for a smoother ride and you can go over a lot more terrain. The tires are16 inches in diameter and are very easy to go over small rocks and through gravel.  It makes life much easier if you are a runner that likes "off-roading." If you are only walking with this stroller you do have to push down on the handle to lift the front wheel up to do any sort of turning. So if you are looking for a walking stroller only you may not be happy with this one. Personally it doesn't matter to me, but for some people it makes a big difference. It also comes with a safety tether that attaches to the runner’s wrist so that the stroller can't get away from you with your little one in it.  The tether also has reflectors on it so that cars can see you better when they drive by. It makes for a better and safer run all around.

CANOPY

The seat has an awesome canopy that is plenty big enough to keep the sun out of your kiddos eyes whether they are big or small,  while still allowing them to see what is going on around them. The sun shade also has a "peek-a-boo" window so that you can see your kiddo at all times.

HUGE STORAGE BASKET

Our jogging stroller that we had when Monkey was little had so little storage that we could hardly use it for going on walks and to the park. I loved it for the most part but the storage was LOUSY! I could barely fit the things that we needed for a quick outing.  The Jeep Overland Limited stroller has a HUGE storage basket and it is very easy to get everything in and out of it. I can fit everything in it that I need and still have space to spare so that I can easily get things in and out.

COLLAPSING / STORING

Collapsing the stroller is very easy. It has clips on either side of the stroller to keep it closed. The wonderful thing about the stroller folded up is that it will stand up all by itself when folded.

ODOMETER

The stroller also comes with an odometer which works much the same as a bike odometer and tracks distance and speed through a magnetic part that monitors the wheel movement......how cool is that! It makes me a lot more motivated to keep going when I know just how far I have gone and that I don't have much left to go.
