Rubbermaid LunchBlox Review

As a Mom of a school age kiddo and wife to an amazing man that goes to work every day......making lunches is a daily occurrence. Bringing a lunch from home can save so much money!! Going out to eat every day can be horribly expensive. Finding the perfect size containers in my random assortment of different sized containers can sometimes be complicated. You dont want something that is too big.....but you have to be able to fit everything in there and often time I need more than one compartment. This is where the Rubbermaid LunchBlox come in. The LunchBlox make it so much easier to be creative and to switch things up a bit. You can send lunch on the big container and snack in the smaller ones and keep everything separate. It also works great for salad, salad dressing, and toppings so that nothing gets soggy.

We received the Rubbermaid LunchBlox Sandwich Kit, which includes 2 Snack Containers (.5 cup capacity), 1 Side Container (1.2 cup capacity), 1 Sandwich Container (2.6 cup capacity) and 1 Medium Blue Ice.
The Rubbermaid LunchBlox makes packing a lunch even easier than ever. These containers snap together in multiple configurations to efficiently use the space in your lunch box or bag. They are perfectly portioned for your favorite lunch foods with handy measurements on the sides of each container. Your lunch stays chilled with snap in Blue Ice™. Individual containers are sold separately from kits so you can configure a different way everyday.
For the last three weeks I have been using these containers for my husbands lunch. I usually send leftovers from the night before, a side, and s quarter for a drink. These containers work so nicely because they all snap together and even have a buily in ice pack to keep everything cold.

The LunchBlox are very durable, BPA Free, Dishwasher safe, freezer safe, and microwave safe.

TOMY John Deere Monster Treads Line Review & Giveaway

With two little boys in the house tractors are a huge hit here. In fact my youngest son loves them so much that his room is decorated with John Deere......Driving through town almost all I hear from D (who is 1) is "tactor tactor!!!" every time that we see one. So needless to say when the John Deere Monster Treads Gator arrived at our door there was happiness all around!
What is cooler than a regular tractor than a shaking tractor with roaring engine noises??? For a 1 year old and an almost 4 year old not much! The thing that I LOVE about this tractor is that the tires are soft rubber and not hard plastic. like most other tractors......because even though they know not to throw the tractor, it will happen. The soft tires just bounce on the ground and don't hurt when you kick it walking through the dark house in the middle of the night. Also the tires actually have real suspension and so when you press the red button to make it shake.....it really shakes! If you push the tractor while pushing the button it looks like it should driving over a rocky mountain road.
One of my sons favorite things on his Gator (besides the shaking and engine sounds) is that you can put things on the cargo box on the back and dump them off. Works great for moving dirt and making big messes :)
The John Deere Monster Treads line come in two different options. You can get the Gator (which I received) and the Combine.  Both of them are awesome looking and the PERFECT gift for your son, kids friend, or really anyone!  They are so much fun, hold up GREAT to LOTS of abuse, being left outside, filled with dirt, and so much more.

To get one of your own you can head over to TOMY , Amazon, or you can also find them in store at WalMart and Toys R' Us. You can find them from $17.99 to $19.99.

To learn more about TOMY toys you can check them out on Facebook and Twitter for new product and great deals!

Swaddle Designs SwaddleLite Review & Giveaway

Swaddle Designs has been a love of mine for a long time. I have always hated the annoying little "swaddle blankets" that someone somewhere out there actually thinks will swaddle a baby but will hardly wrap around them. Swaddle Designs blankets are specially made for swaddling so they are much larger and so much easier to use.

Swaddle Designs newest product that they came out with is the SwaddleDesigns® SwaddleLite™.  The SwaddleLite is a very lightweight and breathable blanket that has a nice open weave which enhances airflow to your little one so that they don't overheat and sleep better. Both of my boys have overheated very easily when they were little so the swaddle designs blankets were great for them!
One of the things that I love about the swaddle designs blankets is that they have a tag sewn onto the side of the blanket that shows exactly how to swaddle your little one. This is great for when you bring your little one to a baby sitter or just for when grandparents swaddle them.

SwaddleDesigns marquisette is crafted from cotton that is superior in length, strength, and smoothness to create a very soft and premium quality fabric
SwaddleDesigns was founded by Lynette Damir, RN, Designer and Mom of two in 2002, and SwaddleDesigns was the first company to introduce the large square swaddling blanket to the US market and many markets around the world.  SwaddleDesigns is known for their premium quality fabric, fabulous colors and prints, and the innovative 123 Swaddle® instructional label that makes learning how to swaddle so easy. SwaddleDesigns versatile blankets come in a variety of weights and are perfect for many uses such as a privacy throw for breastfeeding moms, a tummy time play mat, a cover over the stroller.

Learn “How to Swaddle” and find more information regarding safe sleeping habits and sleeping environments. Also find out all of the benefits of swaddling your baby.
Also make sure to follow SwaddleDesigns on Facebook and Twitter for all of the newest inside scoop and great Fan DISCOUNTS! They also have an e-mail club where you can get the inside scoop on all of the new products and get some awesome special offers.

Onya Baby Carrier Review and GIVEAWAY!!!

As my boys have gotten older and I have gotten better at baby wearing and have a wider variety of carriers I have learned to love the soft structured carrier. I have two wraps that are gorgeous but they never get used just because they take so much more time to get on and I have just never gotten terribly comfortable with them. The thing that I love about soft structured carriers (onya, ergo, boba, beco, etc) is that they are so self explanatory and easy to use. Snap it around your waist, snap it across your chest, get the straps snug, and you are good to go!!! SO easy!! Most soft structured carriers can be used from about 15lbs (some can be used from birth) to when your child is a toddler and work on the front and back and make for a very versatile baby wearing experience.
I am so excited to introduce you guys to a new(ish) baby carrier company called ONYA. They make soft structured carriers that are made to carry babies from 15-45 lbs. Here are a few of the awesome features that you get when you buy an ONYA baby carrier:

• Rip-stop nylon body and air mesh lining
• Patent-pending integrated chair harness with safety strap
• Tuck-away sleeping hood
• Low-profile shoulder straps
• Contoured low-profile, supportive waist belt
• Sternum strap for adjustable comfort
• Double-entry, side-zippered koala pouch and patch pocket
• Seat darts for child’s comfort
• Leg padding for baby
• Toy loop on each shoulder strap
• D-ring for attaching key clip (not included)
• Safety-tested to 75 pounds
• Machine washable

The Onya Baby carrier is available in 2 different styles:

The Outback carrier is made to be used in hot weather or while you are hiking the trails. It is more of a performance/sport type carrier. Instead of the normal fabric lining that all of the other carriers I have tried the Outback is made with a breathable mesh lining which helps wick away moisture and keep you and baby cool in the hot summer weather. The Outback comes in two colors-Burnt Orange/Slate Gray and Olive Green/Chocolate Chip.
The Cruiser carrier is made to be used in every day life. It is perfect for your trip to the store or stroll at the park. It is made from 100% cotton and has a cotton lining instead of the mesh lining on the Outback carrier. It is very soft, supportive, and comfortable for you and your little one. The cruiser also comes in two colors-Leaf Green/Umber  and Dove/Chocolate Chip.

I was so excited when I received my Onya carrier. As soon as I got it out I was amazed with all of the extra features that it has!
It can be used for both front and back carry. I love having a carrier that can be used for both unlike the Bjorn that can only be used on the front. Both of my boys when they were little I carried them on my front, but when they got bigger they had no interest in looking the opposite way that we were going. They wanted to see all that was going on and not miss one thing (and I wasn't about to place them in a carrier front facing). Back carry is also nice for getting stuff done around the house. Strap your little one on your back and they are up safe out of the way so that you can get things done.
Is has awesome storage pockets to keep keys and a wallet in. When I am just running into the store or if we all go garage saleing it is so nice to not have to lug around the diaper bag and my purse the whole time. All I have to do is grab a diaper, my ID, and some money stuff it in the pocket and we are good to go. It is close by in the pocket if needed, but I have nothing that I need to carry around.
It is a very tall carrier which makes carrying a toddler more secure. I don't carry my three year old very often but when I do I hate how short some other carriers are in the torso area. The onya carrier goes all of the way up my toddler back and keeps him very safe and secure so I don't have to worry about him arching his back to try to get out.
It has VERY padded waist and shoulder straps. I have some back pain at times from a slight curve in my back so padding and support are crucial to a carrier not hurting my back. The design of this carrier is made to put a lot of the weight of your little one on your hips so your back doesn't have all of the extra weight straining it. I also love that the waist buckle is covered in fabric so that it is more comfortable and more sleek looking. There's no exposed plastic buckle to dig in or to get stuck on things.
One of the BEST aspects of this carrier is the one that makes this carrier a step above the rest!!! There is a zipper on the bottom of the storage compartment that if you unzip it you can pull out a seat to use for strapping your kiddo to a chair to use as a high chair!! How AMAZING is that!! It is super easy to use and is nice and secure to keep your little one in. We all know just how dirty and nasty high chairs are at most restaurants. The convenience of having a built in high chair is just amazing!
Are you one that carries around a purse, diaper bag, baby carrier, and some sort of a seat to use to strap your little one in?? Well, the ONYA is the thing for you!!! You can store your important purse and diaper bag items in the handy zipper pocket and your high chair is built in and doesn't take up any extra space! Want a baby carrier with all of the extras???? This is the one for you!!!

Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler Review and Giveaway!

Recycling has never been one of my strong suits.......I just never liked having to have a slimy paper bag on the counter to put stuff in or some sort of container sitting out looking nasty with the recycling in it. My kitchen is usually place that gets the messiest with all of the dishes and appliances laying around so I cant handle another thing on my already crowded counters. I was so excited when I heard from Rubbermaid about reviewing their *hidden* recycler!!! The one reason why I wasn't consistently recycling was now no longer valid!

Here are the features of the hidden recycler:
  • Compact and great for apartment living.
  • Easy to attach to your cabinet door. Hooks and screws included.
  • Handle allows the bag to be transported to wherever you dump your recycling.
  • Has a  5 gallon capacity and holds up to 36 12-ounce cans and can fit milk jugs.
  • Made from 65% post-consumer resin
  • Leak-proof and machine washable when dirty.
  • Soft-sided bag allows for flexibility inside any cabinet.
I love anything that can help me keep my kitchen/house clean and more organized. By allowing me to keep my recycling out of sight and off the counter I have no excuse not to recycle.
When I opened the Hidden recycler I was pleasantly surprised by how few pieces that there were. All that I had to do was attach the handle to the bag and snap the lid on top. To put everything together all you have to do is slide the handle up around the bag from the bottom and snap the hooks through the holes. It was very easy to get put together and quick to install.
The hidden recycler comes with two hooks for attaching the bag over the top of the door. It also comes with screws so that you can permanently attach it to your cabinets. I would have preferred to have attached the bag to the door under my sink with the screws but we have really old cabines and the doors are too thin to use the screws. I just used the hooks and attached it over the edge of the door which only took half a second to install.
Once everything was in place the bag felt very secure and it held nice and tight (but not too tight) to the door.
The bag has a 5 gallon capacity and holds up to 36 12-ounce cans and can also fit 1 gallon milk jugs. This is awesome for us because we drink ALOT of milk in our house. The bag is also, leak-proof, machine washable, and made of recycled material.

It will take different families longer/shorter to fill up the bag depending on how much you have to recycle. When the bag is full all you have to do to empty is pull the bag off of the lid, empty it, and hook it back on! As easy as that!!
