Big boy!

We hit a major milestone this last week! Monkeys pacifier is GONE!!!! yes GONE FOREVER!!! It is so exciting.....We didn't have to wean him at all. 
Probably a month ago when Monkey was doing so MAJOR teething (four teeth at once) we switched from a regular pacifier to a teething pacifier because he chewed through TWO pacifiers in one day. He hadn't really been using it much so it was a good time to change. The teething pacifier is almost the same as a regular one but instead the silicone part they chew on there is a flat teether there. Slowly each day he was using it less and less and finally one week ago today he gave it up forever. He won't TOUCH that thing anymore. I tried to give it to him the other night when he woke up during the night from teething and he acted like i was trying to give him poison. 
 
So dear Mr. Pacifier,
Thank you for doing your job while my monkey man needed you. You were a lifesaver to a little boy that loved you oh so much (and to a mama and papa that needed sleep.) But, with much excitement, you will now be put in storage until we make monkey a big brother.
 
It is so nice to not have to worry about bringing that thing with us everywhere. My little man is growing up so fast.....sigh......
