ERGO Baby Sport Carrier

Baby carriers have always been a must with little ones. When Monkey was tiny we had a Snuggli carrier (because I didn't know that there was anything better out there.) I didn't really research it to figure out the AMAZING carriers that are actually out there. With the Snuggli my back ALWAYS hurt no matter how heavy or light he was and when he was little he just slumped into a ball in the bottom of the carrier, so needless to say it didn't get used often at all. The baby carrier was no more comfortable than just carrying him around in his car seat or just holding him. Now that we have another little boy on the way I started researching just what is out there and I am SO happy that I did! I have a new love for baby carriers that are actually comfortable. My favorite so far....the ERGO! I can't think of one thing about it that is not to love. From the perfectly padded waist/shoulder straps, to the sleeping hood, high quality buckles that dont cut into your skin, how it keeps pressure off of his back and hips, and on top of that the most important is just how comfortable it is.

Monkey has never been a snuggler, he wants to do his own thing and run around helter skelter, here, there, and everywhere. He only wants to be held for so long then he wants to get down and play. He has decided that the stroller is to constricting so he doesn't like that either. I wasnt sure how he was going to like being "stuck" in a baby carrier.....but to my amazement he absolutely LOVES the ERGO. Many times he has been on the verge of falling asleep with his head resting on my back. He will happily sit in the ERGO for an hour or two while we are going on a walk or or shopping. The weight is very evenly distributed so I have NEVER gotten a back ache with the ERGO....in fact, it is so well distributed that I sometimes forget that he is back there because it is so amazingly comfortable. He is very comfortable and extremely safe and secure. He fits in snug and close to me, but not so tight that he wants down. He back and hips are also well supported so I don't have to worry about him getting uncomfortable or it hurting him in any way.  I absolutely love having him snuggled up close where he is safe, comfortable, and happy......but without me having to hold him on my hip. With me being 23 weeks pregnant I can only carry his weight for so long and then I have to put him down. With the ERGO I can "carry his weight" without actually feeling any of the weight. The waist strap also fits very well under my expanding belly and doesn't get uncomfortable at all.

The ERGO is made from a blend of 35% cotton and 65% polyester which is a lighter, more-breathable fabric that helps to keep you and your baby comfortable. The body of the carrier has a vent for extra breathability which keeps both you and your baby cool for longer periods of time. The waist belt is very adjustable and extends from 30 inches to a maximum of 48 inches. I have also tried the carrier on everyone from my husband, to my dad, two of my sister-in-laws (one of my sister-in-laws loved the carrier so much that she went out and bought one of her own to use with their new baby!), and my mother-in-law and it fit them all perfectly with a little adjustment. The shoulder straps extend all of the way up to 27 inches for a perfect fit for most people. The ERGO has a reccomended weight limit of 40 lbs.....but it has been tested all of the way up to 90 lbs so it will accommodate you as long as you and your baby are happy using it.
