As a child I always loved doing puzzles......well I still love doing puzzles I just don't have the time anymore. Puzzle are a great way for children to use their mind and their problem solving skills. Since Monkey is now 2 he is old enough to start trying puzzles out and understanding them  little. I love finding things for him to play with that are stimulating and a good way to learn.

 Our Review:

The wonderful people at Lafayette Puzzle Factory were kind enough to send us the Playground Fun CRAYOLA CHALKBOARD Floor Puzzle. When we received the puzzle the first thing that I noticed and was impressed with was the workmanship and quality of the puzzle.  It is definitely made to withstand the wear and tear of being played with by kiddos. My son is at the stage where he likes to bend things and it is good enough quality and thick enough that he hasnt bent the pieces at all. 

Monkey LOVES coloring and for him to be able to color with chalk inside the house and on one of his puzzles is like the coolest thing ever.

I love that all of the pieces are large and easy for little kiddos to pick up and put together. The puzzle measures 2ft x 3 ft (61cm x 91 cm) and has 48 pieces. The scenery on the puzzle is a playful playground scene with children playing together on slides, jungle gyms, tether balls, coloring with chalk, playing basketball, and jump rope.  The great thing about puzzles is that on a rainy day you can keep your kiddos entertained while learning at the same time. Also with winter coming they are a great thing to stock up on to make the time pass while we are stuck inside. My favorite thing about the chalk board puzzle is how the pieces connect. All of the connecting pieces are made from different shapes.  If you look in the picture below, you can see how the puzzle pieces use basic shapes, such as diamonds, stars and hearts, and circles  to join themselves together. 

 The next thing that i noticed about the puzzle is the quality of the chalkboard paint and the rest of the printed picture.  The chalkboard stands up to lots of lots coloring (and being hit by the chalk.) You just need to make sure that when you wipe the chalk off of the puzzle that you use a dry wash cloth, you could ruin the pieces if you use a wet rag (like any other puzzle.)

Each puzzle comes with 1 large piece of Crayola Chalk....so make sure that if you have more than one kiddo wanting to play that you get more chalk before playing.
