***BABY BLESSINGS-Wee Rascals Sleep Sack Review & GIVEAWAY***

One of the many frustrating things when you have a baby is the size that receiving blankets are made. Monkey was 7lbs 9oz-21 inches long when he was born and most of our swaddling blankets only fit him for a month or two.  He was either too long for them at that point or they were to small to stay wrapped around him. He LOVED being swaddled when he was tiny, but we had quite a time keeping him actually wrapped up. 

WeeRascals is an amazing Canadian owned company that makes receiving blankets, sleep sacks, nursing covers, and much more. Their blankets are made much larger than the ones that you buy in big box stores so that you can actually use them for a long period of time. Their flannel receiving blankets are all extra large (42" x 42") and are extremely soft, cozy, and perfect for swaddling.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

"As a mom of newborn twins I soon learned the benefits of swaddling, it kept my babies secure and warm throughout the night. However, I was suprised after just a few weeks that my babies had outgrown the many, many receiving blankets that I had been given as gifts and stocked up on myself. My mother, who is a professional seamstress with over 30 years experience made me some bigger ones. These were just perfect and I continue to use them today for just about everything imaginable.

My mother and I have always talked about starting a business together, but it was never the right idea or right time. When the twins were around 6 months we began talking about it again and selling the receiving blankets that had become so handy to me just seemed like the right idea. This is how Wee Rascals was formed. Soon, after talking to many of my girlfriends who were also new mothers the idea of sleep sacks came up. They were hard to buy in prints, or larger sizes or even organics. We knew we could fullfill this need too! Soon after we began working on this idea my twins started kicking their blankets off in the night and waking up because they were cold. I started using them myself and now I would never put them down for a nap or for nighttime without their sleep sack."

OUR REVIEW:

I had a hard time choosing which sleep sack that I wanted to review because they have so many super cute fabrics to choose from!! Go HERE to see all of the fabric options there are to choose from for the Designer Sleep Sacks.  Rebecca from WeeRascals was wonderful enough to send us a Designer Cotton Sleep Sack in Dino Dudes print-size small. 

I absolutely LOVE our sleep sack! The Dino print is the cutest fabric ever and all of the sewing on the sleep sack is perfect! The seams on the inside of the sleep sack are nice and smooth so that they don't rub on your little one. As you can see in the picture below there is no exposed seams.....they are all hidden and smooth.

The sleep sack is made with 100% cotton fabric and lined with amazingly soft and plush minky dot fabric in chocolate brown. It has a high quality zipper on the front of the sack that zips all of the way down to the bottom of the sack to make diaper changes easy and hastle free. The sewing on the zipper is very well done and it has hidden seams so you can't actually see where it was sewn in at all. On the front of the sleep sack it has four orange and brown little taggies for your baby to be able to play with while they are going down for a nap. 

The sleep sack is great for wearing year round in nurseries that are approx 64-75 °F. They also offer bamboo lining (instead of the minky) for warmer spring/summer weather.

The sleep sack has snaps on both shoulders to make it easy to get on and off or to pull back while nursing so that it doesn't get dirty. The snaps are high quality and attached well so that they don't pull out. There is also a  flap on the top of the zipper area that snaps over the zipper to keep it zipped closed.

I can't wait to be able to put this absolutely adorable sleep sack on my little man when he is born.....it could be any day now!!!!!  Ill try to remember to post pictures of him in it when he is born.
