***BABY BLESSINGS-Woombie Swaddler Review & GIVEAWAY***

Have you ever heard of an amazing product called Woombie? What exactly is it you say? It is a new take on a swaddling blanket.....but one where your baby can move like they could in the womb instead of being constricted like other swaddeling wraps. It allows your baby to stretch as needed and have the comfort and security of the womb while not slipping out of the wrap like they would in many other kinds. It helps keep your baby safe as it keeps their hands from clawing their face and blankets away from their mouth and nose.

Since our baby isn't here yet we havn't had a chance to actually put it to the test, but I love the concept! When Monkey was little he LOVED being swaddled, but there were times that he just wanted to be able to wiggle a little bit.  The Woombie is a perfect way to let your little one wiggle while still being snuggled "tight."

The Woombie comes in 10 different style choices from. You can choose from Original, Summer-light weight, Winter-thick warm fleece, Organic, Lil' Houdini, Deluxe, to versions with separate arms or legs. There are tons of options to choose from for whatever size/season you are needing it for. Woombie offers swaddles for babies as little as 3 lbs or up to 25 lbs. They are available in 4 difference sizes-preemie, newborn, big baby, and Mega.

The Woombie is made of 94% Cotton, which is very lightweight, like a soft Jersey T-Shirt. It is recommended to put a Onesie on under the Woombie for sleep so that your little one stays warm enough. On cold nights just put them in their fleece PJ's and socks under the Woombie. It will act as a blanket keeping your little one warm and cozy.

Why Swaddle My Baby?

Swaddling is performed for many different reasons. Most importantly, it prevents the Startle Reflex, caused by a immature nervous system. By 6 months of age, most babies outgrow their need to be swaddled and can sleep "arms free". Other reasons for swaddling include a feeling of comfort and warmth when arms and legs are gently confined to the body's "core" as in the womb, where they spent 9 months growing. Babies also lack finer motor skills and hand/mouth coordination for the first few months of life, making self soothing nearly impossible- and many times, very frustrating after multiple attempts. Swaddling helps to cease the urge of "busy hands" from traveling to the mouth and face where scratching and Rooting can occur.
