When Monkey was little I can't even count how many times he woke up at night just because he was cold. I didn't want to put blankets on him because of the risk of SIDS, but he would get cold even if he was dressed in a warm footie sleeper. Even now he sometimes gets cold at night because he hasn't really figured out how to work the blankets. Our new baby is going to be tiny when it is nasty cold outside and I want to do everything in my power to keep him warm while still being SAFE at night.  This is where the Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag comes in!  

We received this Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag for review and man is it a high quality sleep bag! The fabric is nice and thick unlike other cheaper sleep bags that we have tried. It is made with super fine allergy-safe Merino Wool, with an outer lining made from 100% natural long staple cotton. When most people think of wool you think of itchy scratchy wool socks or sweaters. Merino wool is 100 times better than that wool! It is so soft and comfortable that I wish they made them in adult sizes! The outer layer of the bag is extra durable while also being soft and smooth, and it is not scratchy on little man's skin at all.

The Merino Kids baby sleep bag is ideal for wearing all-year-round when room temperatures fall between 64°F to 75°F. Only merino fabric has the remarkable natural ability to regulate body temperature. It captures and circulates air to insulate your baby when the room temperature gets colder, and releases excess body heat and moisture as the room temperature get warmer to create the perfect safe micro-climate around their little body. 

One of the wonderful features about this sleep bag is that it can be used in a car seat, swing, stroller, and anything that has buckles! It has a hole that is specially designed to work with car seat buckles so you can get your little one all dressed for bed before you go out and about and if they fall asleep in their car seat you can put them straight to bed when you get home.

Since the sleep bag can be used from newborn to 2 years old it needs to have a way to make the arm holes smaller so that will fit a newborn safely while still being able to fit a 2 year old. As you can see in the above photo it has a snap so that you can make the arm holes smaller for little kiddos. Monkey is over two years old now and the sleep sack still fits him great! I just un-zip the bottom of the sleep sack so that he can still walk and he is good to go. In fact, at this moment he is asleep in bed wearing his sleep sack. Right now he is sick so it is even more crucial to regulate his temperature and keep him warm. I have no worries that he will wake up cold or get too warm tonight in his Merino Kids Sleep Bag.

It also has snaps on one of the shoulders so that you can easily get it over larger kids heads or unsnap it while nursing so that it doesn't get soiled.

Each sleep bag also comes with a matching travel bag! It makes traveling easy since you can just stuff it in the diaper bag and have it handy whenever you need it.
