***BABY BLESSINGS-72pc Magneatos Review & GIVEAWAY***

Monkey is starting to get to the time where he is really learns a lot by sight, touch, and feel. He LOVES building, stacking, and knocking over anything and everything. Just the other day he tried to make a tower out of potatoes.......that one didn't work so well :) I was so excited when I found out that I was going to get to review a 72 pc set of Magneatos. I have been eyeing them for a while because I just knew that Monkey would LOVE them.

I love finding new toys for him to play with! Especially ones that are not only fun but also help him learn new things in one way or another. Whether it be building skills that the toys help teach, or learning new letters, numbers, and shapes. I love toys that help him learn something while at the same time having fun!

What are Magneatos you ask?

The name pretty much sums it up ~ Magneatos are magnets and are NEAT. They are a toy that will provide hours of open-ended exploration for children. They are over sized, brightly colored magnetic balls (2" diameter) and rods (short ones are 3" long and long ones are 5 1/2" long) that are made to help even the youngest of "builders-to-be" develop their fine motor skills and explore simple problem-solving techniques. Magneatos are recommended for ages 2+, brightly colored and jumbo in size ~ the perfect size for little hands to easily grasp and manage. Magneatos create a new arena of creative play for young children.

When the box first arrived at our door we were ready to dive in and start playing. They are made for ages 2 and up so Monkey is on the low side of the age range but he still loves them.

I was very impressed with the packaging when we opened them up.  I had expected to open the outer box and find the pieces just all throw in there......but they werent.  They come in their own box with separated compartments for the balls and the rods.  The rods come in 2 sizes and both the rods and balls come in 4 different colors (all in one package).

I just love the educational factor of this toy!  What you can create with Magneatos is only limited to your imagination! We’ve been building structures of every sort, creating shapes, making letters & numbers, discovering what the magnets will stick to, and just having some good old fun.  These work very well for teaching letters, numbers, and shapes! You can also buy Magneatos that are curved so that you could very easily make almost any letter, number, or shape that you wanted.

The pieces are very well constructed and seem like they will hold up to a lot of play and being thrown around! As we all know 2 year old's love to play drum's on anything and with everything and they have held up to the abuse.  I believe they will look just as good after years of hard use as they do right now. My only wish is that the magnets were a little bit stronger.  At Monkey's age he has a little bit of trouble building structures on his own because he doesn't know how to stabilize them.
